What is aadhar Seva Kendra?

‘Aadhar Seva Kendra’ which is also called as ASK is a one stop solution for all the services related to Aadhar card. These are directly managed offices of UIDAI. All the residents of India can get their required services in one place.  This Aadhar seva kendra provides exclusive service fo Aadhar enrollment and updation services.

These Aadhar seva Kendra are fully air conditioned offices available across India. They are designed for serving residents with wheel chair also. There offices are state of the art designed offices which can accommodate the specially- abled and elderly. For more details on ASK, we can get the details in the below link.

How many aadhar Seva Kendra are there in India?

In the first phase , the plan is to set up 144 aadhar Seva kendra in 53 cities across India.
37 Office are Fully Functioning already. The List and Address is given Below.

These include dedicated centers in all metro cities, all state capitals and Union Territories. A consolidated list of all functional ASK is available in this Link.

Already there are around 35,000 aadhar Kendra being run by banks, post offices, BSNL and state governments.


What are the timings of aadhar Seva Kendra?

Aaadhar Seva Kendras are open all 7 days of the week from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (IST).


Services available at aadhar Seva Kendra

We can reach out the nearby aadhar seva kendra premises and use the following services:

  1. Aadhar Enrolment
  2. Update Name, Address, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile number or Email Id
  3. Update of Biometric data in their aadhar – Photo, Fingerprints and Iris Scans
  4. Mandatory Biometric update of children (attaining the age of 5 and 15 years)
  5. Download & Print aadhar

Both Normal Residents and NRIs can use the services at any Aadhar seva Kendra in any part of the company.


Is the aadhar centre at my nearby bank/ post office also an aadhar Seva Kendra

Yes. Since they also provide the services as Aadhar seva Kendra, it can be called so.


The Aadhar Seva kendra is best Because of the following points.

  • The Normal aadhar Kendra can handle up to 50-100 service requests per day only
  • UIDAI-run aadhar Seva Kendras have 4/8/16 operator stations with the capacity to handle up to 250/500/1000 service requests per day.
  • The ASK have a comfortable AC environment
  • Automated Token Management system
  • Online Appointment system for effective queue management.

What is the service process at ASK
  • First preference for Appointments through online Appointment Management System (AMS) for residents
  • For the Walkings, they should use  automated Token Management System (TMS)
  • The last token at the Aadhar seva Kedra  for the day is given at 5:30 pm everyday

Can I book my appointment for aadhar update

Yes.  Through Maadhaar App and through website. They can book appointment for self , family members and Friends. No charge for booking appointment.

Can I reschedule/ cancel my appointment

Yes. can be done through online and app.


I did not get my aadhar Card. Can I get that at aadhar Seva Kendra

You can download your aadhar yourself. You need to have aadhar registered mobile number for this.
If you don’t have your aadhar registered mobile number or do not want use this online service, you can use the aadhar download and colored print service available at aadhar Seva Kendra at a charge of Rs. 30. Physical presence of the aadhar holder is required for bio-metric authentication.
You can also order a printed copy of aadhar Letter from our website.


I lost my aadhar and my mobile number is also not registered in aadhar. Can I get that at ASK

Yes. You may visit any UIDAI-run aadhar Seva Kendra to download your aadhar and get a printout. This service is available at UIDAI-run ASK only. This will be extended to other aadhar Kendra in Banks, Post Offices, BSNL Centers or State Government offices later.

Use this Enrollment ID to Order aadhar Reprint
The reprinted aadhar is delivered to your registered address within 15 days


My Date of Birth/ Name/ Gender update request got rejected and I have been asked to contact Regional Office.Can I do that update at aadhar Seva Kendra

No. since this is a exception process, we should contact the aadhar regional office only. The Regional office details are given in the below link.
